When you first came to UIUC did you know for sure what you wanted to do as a major/career?

No

How many majors/careers did you "go through" during your years here and how did you finally come to a choice?

Three.

What was one UIUC event, memory, person, class, that made a substantial difference in your career choices?

Discovering that the career I wanted existed when I became Business Manager for the Illini Union Board Musicals.

What was your first job after you earned your degree?

 The local putt-putt for 2 months, and than I got the CSO internship.  

How did you land your first career related job?

Web sites, followed by a recommendation by my boss at my internship.

What is your current occupation and how did you come to it?

Marketing manager for the Philadelphia Orchestra. My former boss at the CSO gave me a good recommendation after applied to the POA. Her recommendation got me the interview for the position I currently hold.

What steps did you take in making the transition?

Relocating completely, networking. and I'm planning to start grad school in the fall.

What advice would you give to an FAA student who might be interested in your current or past careers?

Get as much related work experience , through internships,and school clubs as possible. You need to prove that the job you are applying for is the one you want, and having a track record helps.
